Why do some people dislike Gilmore girls?

Most of the other characters were ciphers - The series spent so much time on Lorelei and Rory’s easily solvable problems and their shared narcissism that seems to have forgotten that it needed to flesh out the world around them. Basically you REALLY have to watch the series closely to remember many of their names, much less their motivations, if they indeed have any.

It’s surprisingly dull - Lauren Graham is an attractive actor but her inability to convey complex emotions is why she hasn’t moved past a modestly successful series that aired more than 20 years ago (Yes, I know about the “update”. It was crappy as well). Alexis Biedel’s acting “range” consists of frown and pitching her voice to different octaves. You really didn’t expect her to do much of consequence in the series, and sure enough, she really doesn’t. There are some good characters in the background (Lorelei’s parents, Lane Kim, Sookie, Luke, etc.) but since they simply exist to service the needs of the titular “Gilmore Girls”, the series steers away from them when things start to get interesting. It’s a boring show that ironically grows evermore so the longer that it was on.

Yes, I understand that many people liked the series.

Which is the worst Bollywood movie you have ever seen and why?

However I did not and the above reasons are why.

Depends upon the people, doesn’t it?

Question: Why do some people dislike Gilmore girls?

Its year 2041, and president Hunter Biden has ordered every republican who sweared at him to be arrested and shot. I am on my way to the death row listening to the cheer of the Liberal mob chanting death death death. How can I escape?

Why didn’t I like it, personally?

Rory was just a brat - A rather spoiled child who really makes the viewer wonder why anyone would want to be around her. Alexis Biedel isn’t a great actor ,and she seems to have decided that Rory being precocious and annoying was a way to make her “intellectual.” Try as I might, I really couldn’t feel for a teenaged girl with wealthy grandparents living in a relatively safe town, with few major concerns in her life. Apparently life after college is REALLY going to be hell for Rory as her mother did precious little to prepare for the realities of places where people don’t trip over themselves to be your friend.

Hmmm….

Is it necessary for people to wear towels while showering at gyms? If so, what are some ways to prevent the towel from slipping off and exposing oneself?

Lauren Graham’s Lorelei was attractive…but not “drop what you’re doing and get over here HOT” - In a small town she would stand out, but the narrative wants the viewer to believe that men who could pull quite a few women themselves are going to screw up their lives chasing after a woman who’s good looking, but not a stunner, and who is unpleasantly manipulative. The narrative never made it clear what aspect of Lorelei’s personality was supposed to be attractive to men beyond her looks and even that seems to have been a mixed bag of offerings.

There are absolutely no stakes involved - Seriously. The biggest dispute seem to have been Rory going to her grandfather’s alma mater of Yale, rather than going to Harvard as her and mother wanted her to. Wow….them are tough times there. Nothing in the series “mattered” and you realize that when you’ve decided to invest your time in the series (I binge-watched it about five years ago , just before the pandemic)
